    Cristina Camacho (aka Macho) is a professional dancer and choreographer based between LA & NY, originally hailing from the DMV (DC, Maryland, Virginia). A graduate of the University of Maryland College Park (B.A. Dance / B.S. Kinesiology), she relocated to New York in 2018, where she has since performed in numerous commercial gigs (MTV VMA's, Ava Max, Telemundo Upfronts, The Soul Spot by Candace Brown, The CW, BET, The Kennedy Center) and presented work with Dance Lab NY, PACE University, Steps on Broadway, Olney Theater, Roundhouse Theater, the Peabody Dance Festival, Mobile Dance Film Festival, and more.

  • Santiago Rivera

    Santiago Rivera (MFA) is a dance theatre artist, educator and choreographer who started dancing in the competitive world when they were in eighth grade. They received a B.A. in Drama and minor in Educational Studies from the University of California, Irvine (2016), an AA in Dance and Dance Instructor Certificate of Achievement from Orange Coast College (2021), and an MFA in Dance at California State University, Long Beach (2023). Santiago also completed the José Limón Technique Certification Training Program (2020-2021). Their work focuses on the amplification of closeted queer LatinX and BIPOC voices in "safe" dance spaces. They are currently adjunct faculty at Cypress College.

  • Shoji Yamasaki

    SHOJI YAMASAKI is a transdisciplinary choreographer, performer, director, writer, and filmmaker born and raised on the unceded ancestral land of Gabrielino-Tongva, recently known as Los Angeles. By encompassing a multitude of topics that combine mimicry, translation, and storytelling, he creates site-specific and immersive experiences that allows the audience to become storytellers themselves.

    He completed his B.A. Degree in World Arts and Cultures (Dance Concentration) and a minor in Spanish from UCLA in 2011 and his M.F.A. Degree in Choreography from CalArts in 2023. Throughout his career, he has worked with choreographers such as Dimitri Chamblas, Heidi Duckler, Keith Glassman, and many others. His works have been presented at locations such as the Jerry Moss Plaza at the Music Center, REDCAT, Gibney Dance, and Conservatorio de Danza México.

  • Sofia Engelman

    Sofia Engelman a Brooklyn-based dance maker and performer. Sofia holds a BA with highest honors in Dance from Smith College and has worked at Contact Quarterly from 2015-present under the mentorship of Nancy Stark Smith and Lisa Nelson. Sofia has presented collaborative works with partner Em Papineau at spaces including, most notably, FRESH Festival, Kennedy Center, Mana Contemporary, EstroGenius Festival, Judson Church, School for Contemporary Dance & Thought, and CPR. Sofia's performance credits include works by Kathleen Hermesdorf, Tyler Rai, David Appel, Alice Gosti, and Michael Figueroa. Sofia is a co-Founder and former Director of freeskewl (now skewl).
